New Head Coach Welcome

The purpose of this page is to welcome a new Premier coach and give him or her the information he needs to smoothly start his first season. This welcome will focus on the administrative side of coaching.

Sports Engine

Sports engine is the app we use to communicate with the parents. It has a very good scheduling function that we use to share when practices and games are. And, it has a good email and chat function we use to communicate with parents. It is vital that you have this app on your phone and that you can access it from your computer. Here is the Sports Engine log-in. 

Trace

This is the video system we use to record games and review game film. I recommend you find a parent to be your lead Trace person. That parent would set-up and record the games and then upload the film. You would then be responsible for implementing the film into your player development. 

This is the NEFC Trace link we use to get to our specific team. Email Rob to get a username and password. Once you go to that page in the search bar at the top enter "NEFC-BR B" to see all of our B5-8 teams. Then select your specific team. Sam has uploaded the rosters. 

Got Sport

GotSport is what NEFC uses to enable coaches to chat with opposing coaches and for us to generate our rosters. Rob will coordinate for your GotSport account to be created and then you will login here. Once you get in, you can find your schedule matches by click on "Team Management", your team, and then "Matches". 

Once you get to the match you need the rosters for click on the ellipse and then "Print Match Card"

They want you to bring 2 paper copies of your standard match card and 2 copies of the photo match card. I have never used all 4, but that is what they want. Normally we only use one of either and the ref uses that to check the boys in. It is not consistent whether the ref wants the standard or photo. What is important so you do not get hate email is that after the game when you are the home team use the QR code in the upper right of your roster to enter the results of the game. 

Coaches Uniforms

It is important that you get with Rob to get your coaching uniforms ordered. They will send you shirts, shorts, pullover, rain jacket and warm winter Jacket. 

Games

There are a few admin requirements you will have for games. 

• make sure you coordinate via GotSport with the opposing coach early in the week prior to the game to confirm time, location, uniform. 
• Ensure the game is up to date and accurate in Sports Engine (don't forget the "team detail" of how early to arrive and what color jersey to wear)
• Bring 2 standard rosters and 2 photo rosters to the game
• If you are the home team bring the "sportsmanship blurb" for a player to read at the beginning of the game
• If you are the home team make sure you have two "game quality" balls. You can get your own and use two from your players. 
• If you are the home team bring 4 cones to mark the corners. 
• I like to always have enough pinnies to cover the team if we need to change colors and the players did not all bring a back-up uniform

Team Name – Brookline

When our teams do a team cheer we refer to ourselves as "Brookline". For example, "Brookline on 3. 1,2,3 Brookline".
